Board of Directors

About the Board

General Board Role and Responsibilities

The MSFC Board of Directors is responsible for supporting the organization’s long-term strategic plan and its financial health. Participation on MSFC’s board offers individuals a great opportunity for leadership experience with a team passionate about reproductive justice. While we recognize that many of our medical student board members have served as Student Leaders at their local chapters, the role of a board member is different from that of a Student Leader.

Members of the Board of Directors are elected to serve up to three years with a possibility for term renewal. Board membership requires substantial accountability to the organization. There are three meetings, either virtual or in person, during each board year, and board members are expected to join one committee with remote meetings approximately every other month. Board members are also required to support MSFC’s fundraising efforts in some capacity.
