Medical Students for Choice's

2021 Conference on Family Planning

December 4 - 5 , 2021

MSFC invites you to join us for our 2021 Conference on Family Planning which will be held virtually and is scheduled from December 4 – 5 , 2021. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to network with expert faculty, receive high-quality education not typically offered in medical school curricula, and participate in hands-on training opportunities with other pro-choice medical students and residents who are passionate about abortion and family planning.

This year’s conference will focus on a theme of Fostering Resiliency Through Community and will feature live and pre-recorded session content focusing on issues including wellness and self-care, sexual and reproductive health, advocacy, reproductive justice, abortion care and family planning.

Meet MSFC’s new Executive Director Pamela Merritt, who will be introducing our Keynote Speaker, acclaimed scholar of race, gender and law Dorothy E. Roberts. Register for pre-conference workshops on Advocacy and Peer Training and Curriculum Reform. Interact and share ideas with medical students from MSFC chapters in the US, Canada, and internationally at our community board and networking tables. Network with abortion providers, residency programs and pro-choice organizations at our speaker panels and virtual exhibit booths. Participate in interactive hands-on training simulations on Manual Vacuum Aspiration (MVA) and Contraception and IUD Placement. Join us for our closing plenary session, an interdisciplinary panel discussion offering unique perspectives on self-managed abortion in the US and internationally.

Dorothy E. Roberts will be the Keynote Speaker at the 2021 Conference on Family Planning
